These are the coolest magnetic balls. They are incredibly strong. One ball can hold the weight of the entire 216 ball set. They are great to pass the time and come up with new patterns.

They are polarized (they have a positive and negative) so manipulating them into shapes can take a gentle hand and patience as you work them to rotate around. The possibility of shapes are endless but having two or more sets can open up new doors. These are small balls, about the size of a BB pellet each.

An additional benefit is the stress relief. They are great for keeping nervous hands busy during a stressful time.

My 6 year old (under supervision) loves them too since they are so easy to manipulate.

They are so much fun in their own quirky way and worth every penny. There is something nice about the way they feel as your hand works them into new shapes.

I would caution that they are easy to lose. We usually remake the cube when we are done to make sure we have all of them. My son has used them for a jump rope, my daughter makes them into lots of little shapes. So we recollect them every time are done or we go on a tiny ball hunt…

These are not for young children because they are very strong (and can be very dangerous) magnets.

Initial thought when I received them…….

You have GOT to be kidding me! There is some deceiving advertising going on here. The picture makes you believe these are a pretty good size even though they do provide Product Dimensions: 3 x 2 x 2 inches. These balls are SO SMALL I can barely pic them up!

HOWEVER, any bigger and 216 balls could not be fun.

I guess it will make an interesting paper weight!

Now with that said, they are VERY powerful magnets but still VERY VERY small and FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN…….

My wife and I are fighting over them so we split the magnets and plan to buy more.

One regret…..why did I not think of this…someone is making a fortune.

Great side gifts that will have people remembering you!

I have had lots of fun with these, and pretty soon bought three more sets to explore larger structures – and with a little patience, Magnet balls Black Edition – Magnetic Earth Magnet Puzzle in Collector’s Tin and Magnet Balls Original Edition – Magnetic Earth Magnet Puzzle in Collector’s Tin for variety, you can make some pretty interesting-looking structures, as long as you create shapes with magnetic integrity.

The cube is actually among the harder structures to create, as these magnets strive to achieve a minimum energy state; I prefer making plane tesselations and other triangle / hexagon based shapes, where you string together the beads and let the string pretty much just snap into place in ever greater circles.

Rewarding for any geek old enough not to choke on them.
